Alot has happened since the last blog post here. Big area of this missing information comes from email logins getting lost and life getting busy. Here is the updates from Spring of 2024.
We had a total of 12 members this semester! After COVID numbers dropped, but they are back on the rise as 3 new members joined this semester as well. Our recruitment theme was RACING (thinking NASCAR)! We held five days of recruitment with lots of potential members coming to events. Our events were the traditional Meet the Dolphinettes, In-N-Out Day, the traditional Meet the Alumni, Bowling Night, Surprise Day, and Interview Day! However, our first two events needed to be moved to Zoom due to heavy flooding. Our recruitment chairs Jess Gibson and Diana Bello quickly adapted to the Zoom set-up.

We welcomed Beta Upsilon with Katie Taylor, Lorraine Hackett, and Zoey McGee!! New Member Educators - Raelene Sichmeller and Gia DePalma prepared this new members for their Dolphin Day along with planning initiation. We are excited to congratulate the New Bigs on their adoption - Raelene Sichmeller for adopting Zoey McGee, Gia DePalma for adopting Lorraine Hackett, and Briana Trujillo for adopting Katie Taylor.

This semester we celebrated Galentine's Day by making bouquets put together by our social events chairs - Bianca Carlos and Raelene Sichmeller. We celebrated the spring semester together alongside Deaf CSUNians (DC) by hosting the Enchanted Garden Banquet!

Every month we host a virtual raffle where Deaf Owned products were raffled off. All the money collected went towards our Philanthropy - Deaf Hope. This idea was from our Philanthropy Chair - Nancee Steiger.
Our members showed their involvement for the Deaf community by attending CODIE's Love and Literacy event, GLAD's Love and Literacy event, CSDR's ASL Day, and two days for the SignLight film festival. Thank you CSDR for including and inviting our sorority to be apart of these events!

As the semester came to an end we celebrated the seniors by attending Greek Graduation and then going to celebrate more at Dave and Buster's afterwards. Congratulations to our newly graduated seniors - Alumna Jess Gibson (from Beta Rho), Alumna Priscilla Chavarin (from Beta Rho), and Honorary Sister Bianca Carlos (from Beta Tau).
